MRS -Amazing Roommate

It's been no secret that I've wanted to leave my apartment complex. It was well known that as soon as my contract would be up, I would be out of there faster than a bullet from a gun.
Because the place....just wasn't working for me.
I'd had horrible roommates, that I could barely talk to, and hardly socialize with.

But for some reason...
Things didn't work out the way I wanted them to.
I wanted to move out.
Desperately so. The apartment complex was closing in on me.

But things weren't working.
Me and my two friends from High School wanted to move in together into an apartment.
But every place we found...we either didn't like, wasn't in their price range, or got sold out before we could put in an application.

Everything was so hard.
So difficult.
nothing was working out.
And the deadline for me to move out was drawing nearer... :S

So finally, in a final act of desperation, I suggested that we just stayed in my current apartment complex. As I was pretty sure I could still renew my contract. And it was in their price range and a location that they liked.

So I made the sacrifice.

And lo and behold.
Things worked out.
Freakishly well. (God's hand in this obviously.)
Because within 24 hours we were set. We had the apartment, we'd all be living together.
And best yet. I would be able to stay roommates with my Amazing Roommate!
A roommate who moved in a semester before my contract was up. A roommate that began to turn the whole horrible apartment experience around. So that it actually wasn't so bad, because I had her with me. Because she would talk to me. Because she would do things with me.
It was Amazing.
And I had been saddened that I wasn't going to be able to live with her when I moved out.
Now that I wasn't moving out, I could still be her roommate!!

Which is a surefire blessing for me.
Because she's been the constant sunlight in my life.

Because I'm pretty sure if me and my two friends had managed to find a 3 bedroom apartment with just us three....
I'd be going crazy.
From isolation.
From loneliness.
From feeling left out.
Because they bond much better with each other than they do with me.

But with my Amazing Roommate here...
Oh. It's so much better.
I have someone that I too can bond with, laugh with, talk for hours with without it feeling like a forced conversation.

For some reason or another I'm meant to stay at my current apartment complex.
One of them for sure is the fact that I have my Amazing Roommate as my Roommate.

I have no idea what I'd be doing now without her here to keep me from going crazy. :)

MLAARE -Too Helpful

Sometimes....I wonder if I'm too helpful.
The need to please....getting in the way of things.

Today...I think it was so.

We've been looking for people to hire....
And I had a friend from my hometown apply to get a job here.
For when they move down here to go to school.

I'd put my managers on notice that they might be applying.
And they told me today that my friend had.
Yay!!

And then I think I stuck my foot in my mouth.

Why?
Because they were going to call my friend today to set up an interview...for today if possible.
And I mentioned that it might be difficult for my friend to come down as they're still up in HomeTown.

They were like. O.o Then why did your friend apply?!
And I told them.
That my friend was looking for a job for when they came down for school next month.
But they wouldn't be moving down for like three more weeks.
Because they can't get into their apartment before that point.

And they were like "Oh...well we can't call them in for an interview yet, that's too far out."
O.o

Honestly...I think my friend would have been willing to come down for the interview and if they liked them, the hiring process and training. Make the commute if it meant they got the job.

But now....my friend has been relegated to the 'waiting pile'
To see if they still may need them in three weeks.

*bangs head on desk.*
Ugh!
UUUGGGHHH!
I just had to go and open my mouth!
my friend could have had an interview today!
They could be hired today if it went well!!

and I had to open my mouth and tell them that they weren't available for another month!

How was I supposed to know that that would be a problem?
I honestly didn't see it as a problem. I mean. Drive down a couple of times for the interview(s) and Training and such and then don't schedule them until they move down.
It seems so simple.

But the managers apparently disagreed.

Uggggh!!
I really hope that I didn't just ruin this opportunity for my friend.
I really hope so.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.
And I'll be sitting here feeling guilty in the meantime.....

MRS -Contract Fine Print

So I found out an interesting tidbit about the place I live at, about my one Roommate who moved out after only living here for like 3 weeks. (because she got engaged.)

Apparently...she basically walked out on her contract.
I mean, my apt has a Marriage Contract where if you get married, you can leave the apartment without being charged.

BUT
Something hadn't gone through right.
Because after rent was due...
We got a notice on our door that this roomie was getting 'evicted' for not paying rent.
Considering she'd already left...
I knew something was wrong. That there'd been some miscommunication.
So I tried to contact my roomie, to no response.
And so later after the second notice, I called the office to inform them of the situation. That said roomie no longer lived here, that I'd heard she'd talked to them already about the situation...

And experienced the 'fun' ness of having random people coming to check out the apartment/her room -apparently she hadn't moved out properly either....
Multiple times, as apparently there isn't much communication between everyone *shakes head*

But, I found out an interesting 'clause' in this marriage contract.

Apparently, you can only get out of the lease via getting married.
IF
You have lived in the apartment longer than 6 months.

My roomie....had only been there 3 weeks.

I have no idea how the issue's been resolved...
Or when/if I will be getting a new roommate.
But it makes sense why I haven't gotten one before now.

MRS -Moving x3

()_()
I really did miss the memo.
My last roommate finally came home.
She'd been gone for at least two weeks it seems like.

And what does she say basically as soon as she walks in the door?

"Hey, I have a girl coming to look at my contract today."
O.o
Roomie say Wha?!

Yah. Apparently she's trying to move out by this weekend. O.o
So that's THREE roomies.
Who all randomly decided to move out at the sameish time!

What's with this?
At least their reasons are different.
1. Engaged.
2. Moving back To Cali
3. Moving back home (as her home is like 20 minutes away and she's always there anyway.)

Still...
It's so weird.
What's really odd is that they all decided to move/moved out just days after I got my brand new Televison.

Coincidence? lol.
Did my brand new TV somehow scare my ghost roommates away?

No idea.

But all in all...
I'm halfway excited.
Excited for a whole new set of roommates.
*fingers crossed* that they're more social than this last bunch.

(Also, we'll see if the move actually happens, the girl coming to see the apt never showed)

MRS -Moving x2

O.o
Did I miss a Memo or something?

It hadn't even been two days!

But I woke up from a nap -to try and head off a headache that was brewing-
to hear voices in my apartment.
Not any voices.
Guys voices.
O.o
Then the sounds of moving, of packing.
So I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.
And opened my door to find...

One of my Ghost Roommates moving out!
O.o

It was the roommate that had the problems with the plumbers earlier.
Apparently the whole situation sent her over the edge.
Apparently...she was going to be moving in a month anyway to go back to California for school there.
But decided to skip out of here a month early because of the plumbers and go live with her Aunt's family that are basically up the street from here.

So...in the space of a couple of hours....she'd gotten everything out of the apartment.
And was gone.
O.o

So weird!
I mean. Two Roommates moving out in Two days?!!
O.o
Is my third one going to move out as well?
I haven't seen her since the night before the cleaning checks.......it's always possible I suppose though I heard she was sticking it out ....

In any case.
I'm rather glad that this roomie has moved out.
The apartment feels....lighter in a way with her gone.
Kinda mean to say, I know.
But it does.
There doesn't seem to be such a weight in the air.

And it means that I now have two chances at new roommates who won't just hide in their rooms whenever they come home!

We'll have to see...The Roomie told me that one of her cousins is taking over her contract and will be moving in in about a week or so.
She states that this cousin is totally different from her...more social...but we'll see....see when and if she moves in...

MRS - Moving

O.O
Well...
That was unexpected.

So there I was.
Finally confident that no one would be barging into my apartment to fix things.
Pulling out my brand new TV
And very cautiously working to put it together because I didn't want to break my brand new TV.

It wasn't going as well as I wanted it to.
Because I had to screw the stand into the TV.
And my little screw driver wasn't working.
>.<
Ugh, me and my weak strength.
I was just trying to figure out who I could go to to help me put my TV together.
When I heard a key in the lock.

My New Roommate had returned!
I was overjoyed to see her, as I hadn't seen her in like a week or so.
"You're alive!' I exclaimed.

She smiled nodded, and before she even stepped through the door stated.
"I'm Moving!"

Excitement turned to horror.
SHE WAS MOVING?!
She hadn't even been in the apartment a MONTH! I'd only seen her like THREE Times!
And she was moving?!
Was it family problems?
Work drama?
Was it something I did? (Always a worry)
"What? Why!" I asked in shock.

Then she flashed it.
The engagement ring.
Blinding and white and big it was.

My roommate had gotten ENGAGED!!
O.o WHA!?
It was totally unexpected.
Totally depressing. >.<
I've been looking forward to having her here. Socializing with her, hanging out with her, doing stuff instead of having to deal with my roommates that just hide in their rooms.

Yah. So she grabbed like the seven items she had in the apartment.
And left.
Never to be seen again.
Y_Y Sooo Sooo Depressing!
The only bright side to that night was that her now fiancée came with her, and so I had him help me put my TV together with it's stand before they left.

but SERIOUSLY?!?!
I FINALLY get a roommate in who I think could actually be FUN and SHE MOVES!

Gah!
>.<
Now I'm left wondering who is the next to try apartment life with me...how long will they last? *sighs* Perhaps it's better if that bedroom just stays empty....
