Making Their Day

It's always fun to make a child's day at work.
Because it usually is just the simple things.
Like letting them hold the bag of fish, or hold the bag of things that their parents just bought.
Or pulling out the snake for the child to see closer, or the guinea pig for them to pet.

It's the simple things.

Today, it was a grandmother and her two grandchildren.
Both little ones in the cart.
Admiring the fish.
As she pushed them along.
And it just so happened that they'd come at the time when I'd finally gotten round to feeding the fish.
-As it was busy for a Tuesday randomly enough. O.o
So I was doing it later than usual.

And the children were like "Can we feed the fish?!"

Usually we don't let customers feed the fish.

Though recently we've been doing events on the weekends where we give kids the opportunities to feed the fish.

And since I wasn't busy at that moment in time and the kids and their grandmother were the only ones in the department.
I went ahead and let the two kids feed a couple of the fish tanks.
lol.

It was like Christmas for them.
They had so much fun sprinkling the food in the tanks and watching the fish swim up to the surface to eat it. lol.

It was fun to make their day. :)
