I had a customer come into the store today looking for a specific type of lid for his tank. A glass one that needed to completely seal the tank. I'm not sure why, or for what creature, I just knew he needed it to keep up the humidity.
But he was super particular.
And the glass lids I had weren't quite the size he needed, as most glass lids are for aquariums and they end up leaving a small gap on the top of the tank -that they provide a plastic piece to use if necessary. But the gap is left there so that customers can place filters and heaters and such in the back part of the tank.
The customer wasn't quite happy about that. Asked if there was a spot where he could get a glass lid that covered the entire tank.
….not here in the store no.
We have grated lids for reptiles that do.
But they're grated, so they won't seal off the tank.
After a bit of debate.
The dude decided to buy the glass lid to try it out.
Hopefully it works for him.
