MLAARE -UnWelcome Text

Sooo....
I had an old coworker text me out of the blue today.

Which was a bit of an unwelcomed interruption in my work day.
Because this particular coworker...
I am not happy with.

Because they just disappeared.
Stopped showing up to work.
Gave no indication that they were just going to disappear.

Its irritating that they just stopped coming.
Because this coworker was well experienced with other coworkers disappearing on us.
So to have them do the exact same thing?

Oooh.
Not. Happy.
At. All.

And what did the coworker want?
To know about our manager that walked out on us.
>.<

Yah. Thanks for that painful reminder too.
That both of you left us without giving notice.
Putting us in a bind.
Leaving us short handed.
Right when we couldn't afford to be short handed.

Not.
Happy.

Apparently this coworker knew that our manager was thinking of leaving.
That the manager had apparently stated that they were only staying because this coworker was working there.

Mmmmm.
Somehow I doubt it...but whatever.
Its too late to do anything now.

But I did finally find out the reason why this particular coworker left.
Because their hours were getting cut. Because they had had promises made to them, that apparently hadn't been kept....
So they just...left.

*shakes head*
Yah... Not sure if I believe that.... I can see a bit of truth to it....
But I know from other coworkers/managers that this coworker had begun not coming into work. Had called the store more than once to see if they'd been fired yet.

So it makes sense why the hours were being cut.
If we can't depend on you we're not going to schedule you.
If you slack off and stop coming into work...of course promises aren't going to be fulfilled.

Yah...
Congrats to the this coworker for finding other work, finding a job that they like more.
But the way they left was entirely stupid.

Give.
Notice.

Its that simple.
Why does no one seem to understand that anymore? *sighs*
